FIPPA and EPPA General Assemblies

The 2011 Meetings of the FIPPA Council and the EPPA Council were held at Mas Pages in Catalonia on Friday 25 March 2011.
The key decisions made were:
Galicia Pitch and Putt Association (GPPA)
The recently registered GPPA has 7 affiliated clubs, 700 licenced players and will organise approx. 200 tournaments during 2011. The EPPA meeting agreed to accept the Galicia Pitch and Putt Association as an associated member of the European Pitch and Putt Association.
Korean Pitch & Putt Assciation (KPPA)
Mr Douglas Park, who had travelled from Korea to represent the recently registered KPPA, gave details of the structure and strategy of the organisation. The FIPPA meeting agreed to accept the Korean Pitch and Putt Association as an associated member of the International Pitch and Putt Federation (FIPPA).
International Opens
The FIPPA meeting agreed that players affiliated to EPPA and FIPPA member organisations are free to contest international open Pitch and Putt tournaments around the world, irrespective of which international organisation promotes such an event.
World Cup 2012
The FIPPA meeting agreed a proposal from PPUI that the 2012 World Cup of Pitch and Putt be held at the Royal Meath club in Clonee, Co. Meath, Ireland (host venue for the very successful inaugural Irish Open in 2009).
