AUSTRALIAN OPEN @ Wagga Wagga 2008 - results

Wiradjuri (Wagga Wagga) players dominated the 2008 renewal with Leon Brown winning the Australian Open and Phil Shaw-Dennis (from Waverley) runner-up. World Cup star James Rogerson finished third.

The Australian Women's Championship was won by Naideen Clarke with her daughter, Christine Harley runner-up. Leon is also Naideen's son-in-law so it was a family affair.

Saturday saw the players coping with a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius whilst on Sunday it was a mere 26 degrees!

The players and staff at Wiradjuri extended their usually warm hospitality.
