I ANDORRA OPEN 2011

Catalan Daniel Gimenez won the inaugural Andorra Open at Xixerella. Dani fired an impressive ten under par aggregate of 152 to win by five shots from Pau Perez. Enric Sanz was another three shots back in third. Daniel set up his victory on Saturday with a superb 97 for the opening two rounds. A steady 55 on Sunday maintained his five shot advantage. Pau Perez was fourth overnight on 107 but a superb final round 50 gave the Andorran second spot. He is the first Andorra player to finish in a podium position in an international Open. Enric Sanz was Gimenez's closet pursuer entering the closing round, having carded 102 on Saturday.

Holland's Herma Kleinlugtenbeld won her fourth international open when she returned 173 for the 54 holes. Herma's winning margin was a whopping 18 strokes ahead of Catalan Marta Mota. The evergreen Catalan Pilar Montero finished third.
