NASSAU DUTCH OPEN 2011
Ireland's Ray Murphy, who won the inaugural Dutch Open seven years ago, dominated the 2011 event at Bussloo. The eight time Irish champion carded three consecutive rounds of 46 for a 54 hole aggregate of 24 under par 138. That gave Ray Murphy a four stroke winning margin over Patrick Luning (Netherlands), who closed with a Sunday 48 for 142. Liam O'Donovan (Ireland), who was also third in 2004 and second a year ago, returned a final round of 48 to place third on 143, just ahead of 2009 Dutch Open winner and European Strokeplay champion Ian Farrelly (Ireland) on 144. Holder Rolf Kwant (Holland) finished fifth on 145, just edging out Irish Matchplay champion Damien Fleming on the final 18 tiebreaker.
Ladies Dutch Open winner was Holland's Esther de Schiffart who carded a three under par 159, finishing five clear of fellow Dutch player Joletta Otttens. There was another Dutch winner in the senior event with Bernard Struyck scoring 155. Joel Moscatel (Catalonia) won the junior open with 164.

Ray Murphy (Ireland) was the overnight leader at the Dutch Open. Murphyfired two rounds of 46 for a sixteen under par aggregate of 92. Murphy was two shots clear of two-time Irish Open winner Damien Fleming (Ireland) and the Dutch ace Patrick Luning. A group of three were poised on 95 - Holland's Rolf Kwant (the holder) and the Irish pair Ian Farrelly and Liam O'Donovan.
Bernard Struyck of the Netherlands led the senior event on 100. Esther De Schiffart was leading lady on 105 while Catalan Joel Moscatel shot 105 to head the junior list.
