Course of the Month -Trondheim, Norway

Trondheim, historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem, is a city and municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. With a population of 181,513 (October 1, 2013), it is the third most populous municipality in Norway, although the fourth largest urban area. It is also the third largest city in the country, with a population of 170,242 inhabitants within the city borders. The city functions as the administrative centre of Sør-Trøndelag county.

Trondheim lies on the south shore of the Trondheimsfjord at the mouth of the river Nidelva. The city is dominated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), SINTEF, St. Olavs University Hospital and other technology-oriented institutions. Trondheim is situated where the river Nidelva meets Trondheimsfjorden with an excellent harbour and sheltered condition.

Trondheim boasts a a 9 hole Pitch and Putt course with a panoramic view over the city, harbour and fjord.

Located close to the center of Trondheim and overlooking the whole city, the habour and fjord, Trondheim Pitch and Putt course at HAVSTEIN gives visitors a great experience. With 9 holes ranging from 60 to 120m, the course is family friendly. Visitors are welcome every day. There's a large driving range adjoining. Coming by cruise ship? You will see your ship all the time! Clubs are available for hire. (gents/ladies NOK 40, children NOK 30).Don't hesitate to call for further information. The Panorama Executive Parkland Course was designed by Paal Midtvaage and opened in 2013.

The terrain is hilly with water hazards.

Practice Facilities Driving Range (30 tees) Chipping Green Practise bunker Dogs on leash permitted. Mobile phone permitted on course. GPS devices approved. Green fees for 9 Holes are NOK 100 (13 EUR) every day, including weekends. 2nd round: NOK 50. Juniors under 19, Students under 28 and Seniors over 67 receive a 25% discount.
