VII INTERNATIONAL SENIORS OPEN - SWITZERLAND 2010,
Message from Brigitte Albisetti, President SPPA
Dear all,
We have great pleasure in informing you that Francesc Sole, FCPP Senior captain, tells us the good news that more than 40 Catalan players have entered. Also there is still considerable interest in playing in the Swiss Senior Open among Catalans.
Of course we are happy to get this news from Catalonia but at the same time we are forced to block further entries from Catalonia to ensure that players from other associations and Swiss players too, can take part. This is also in the interests of the Catalan players as they would like to meet competitors from other asociations and so avoid a Catalan vs Catalan tournament.
It is our understanding that the world known, sophisticated and beautiful St. Moritz resort with its lakes and surrounding breathtaking mountains attracts many people and we decided to organise, on Friday, 18th June 2010, a tournament (18 holes) for escorts or persons that would like to visit Switzerland alongside people with a common interest.
Please take note that cable cars and funiculars of the upper Engadin and the public transport (bus and train) are included with a minimum stay of 2 nights in most hotel rates. People will have the possibility to admire the Engadin from the top of the mountains - without spending money for the transfers!
As regards the accommodation, we have got from the organisers a new Hotel address:
Hotel Sonne www.sonne-stmoritz.ch
that has good rates - about Euro 58 p.p.s. (or less in a triple) B&B and for groups of 20 people and over the dinner is also included!
We hope you will still go ahead to promote the Swiss Senior Open which will surely be an unforgettable short break in Switzerland! Please make your bookings to SPPA to ensure that the participants stay in the same hotel. We look forward very much to welcoming your players to Switzerland.
Best Regards,
Brigitte Albisetti
