ANDORRA UPDATE, by Jose Maria Anzizu, General Secretary , FIPPA.

FIPPA General Secretary, Jose Maria Anzizu, was recently in Andorra with the Catalan team as they played a rematch of this years World Cup final in the small principality.
The event was a resounding success with the result going the same way as it did four months earlier and was a great promotion for the game in Andorra.

Jose Maria also had some good news to report from Andorra on the sports development there," Officers from both sides took advantage of the meeting to discuss the process of the constitution of the “Associació (or Federació) Andorrana de Pitch and Putt”. They recently got the approval from the Government and hope to formalise the constitution after the summer and to then apply for EPPA and FIPPA membership next year.
They have asked the ACPP to keep managing their handicaps and allowing their teams to participate in our Interclubs as "special guests". I said that I do not see any obstacle on this but we should study the matter carefully and eventually sign a collaboration agreement between the two federations. We also agreed to play one international game per year with seniors and juniors in the teams to promote the game amongst the young people. I think it was a positive meeting. Finishing second in the World Cup has put P&P "on the map" here in Andorra."
