FIPPA Newsletter - August 2006.

Welcome to the first of our bi-monthly newsletters on www.fippa.net (the official website of the Federation of International Pitch and Putt Associations.)
The Federation of International Pitch and Putt Associations (the world body of our sport of Pitch and Putt) has been in existence for just four months. However, there continue to be many encouraging signs that Pitch and Putt’s global expansion continues apace.
Since FIPPA was formed, three international opens have been successfully staged. Many more opens and events are planned for the next eighteen months or so as we continue the build up to the autumn 2007 European Team championship in Sardinia and to the III World Cup, possibly the first to be held in South America, in 2008.

FIPPA’s Board Members have each accepted a portfolio of responsibilities and the President and Secretariat of FIPPA are delighted with the progress made so far and fully support the excellent website initiative.

Our aim is that the www.fippa.net newsletter will boost communication and further the links between the FIPPA Board, FIPPA members throughout the world as well as with Pitch and Putt players everywhere. The newsletter will be an eclectic mix of interviews, competition reports, development updates, humorous incidents, photos, opinion pieces, and will focus on all the topical issues in our sport.
We hope you will enjoy the first issue of our newsletter, which we believe captures the current mood within the Pitch and Putt fraternity. Let us know what you think and what you’d like to read here every couple of months.

Thanks to all who contributed. Keep swinging!
John Manning, Assistant Secretary General, FIPPA.
