FIPPA REVAMPED
At the April 2009 Joint Meeting of the Councils of EPPA and FIPPA in La Grande Motte, detailed discussions took place regarding the creation of the new international Pitch and Putt organisation, IPPA. Some members of EPPA and FIPPA were facilitators of the process leading to the formation of IPPA, effectively a rival body of EPPA and FIPPA. Those existing members of EPPA and FIPPA became founder members of IPPA.
The April Joint Meeting decided to conduct a vote on the following motions:
The motion will read: 1. EPPA and FIPPA votes itself out of existence and the members are free to apply to join IPPA Yes/No
2. EPPA and FIPPA votes to remain in existence Yes/No
3. If voting Yes to 2, any current members of IPPA must decide to stay and renounce their IPPA membership or leave EPPA/FIPPA Yes/No
A substantial majority of both EPPA and FIPPA members has voted in favour of maintaining both EPPA and FIPPA
1. EPPA votes itself out of existence and the members are free to apply to join IPPA
Yes 1 No 7 Abstained 2
2. EPPA votes to remain in existence

1. FIPPA votes itself out of existence and the members are free to apply to join IPPA Yes 1 No 10 Abstained 2
2. FIPPA votes to remain in existence Yes 10 No 1 Abstained 2
A lesser (albeit still significant) majority both EPPA and FIPPA members has voted in favour of not allowing dual membership of IPPA and EPPA/FIPPA.
3. If voting Yes to 2, any current members of IPPA must decide to stay and renounce their IPPA membership or leave EPPA

3. If voting Yes to 2, any current members of IPPA must decide to stay and renounce their IPPA membership or leave FIPPA

According to the information available to the Councils of EPPA and FIPPA, AFPP, FIPP and FSMPP, members of EPPA and FIPPA, and DPPU, associate members of EPPA and FIPPA, have assisted in the development of IPPA and are members of the new entity IPPA.
AFPP, FIPP, FSMPP and DPPU were asked to confirm their renunciation of membership of IPPA to comply with the decision of the respective EPPA and FIPPA Councils.
AFPP, FIPP, FSMPP and DPPU have chosen to voluntarily vacate their membership of FIPPA and EPPA, and from 29 May will no longer be in membership and will forfeit the rights and obligations that this status entails.
EPPA and FIPPA wish to thank AFPP, FIPP, FSMPP and DPPU for the great work they have done in promote Pitch and Putt and also to acknowledge the immense personal contributions made by John Hudson, Carlo Farioli, Elia Casali and Soren Rasmussen. We wish them all well for the future.
