WIL 2007 ...Round 3 Round Up
The excitement continued with 3rd round of WIL but without the record breaking bonanza we saw in round 2 and we are set for a tremendous finish in all divisions.
Champions Division
In the Champions Division, the undefeated St Patricks Sinners played against last years champions, Canberra International, but the title holders struggled on hard and fast greens and went down to the undefeated Irish club. Runners up for the past two years, Sant Cebria were steady and held off Southern Cross whilst the boys from P&P Kardinge in Holland continued on their merry way and scorched around to win against Corinda and posted a very hot score of 190 but with their leading players heading off to Australia in November it will be interesting to see how they fare.
Division I
In the West division, Sant Jaume continue to impress and Ramon Carrera has this team developing brilliantly.They won easily over Valley View.
WPPF picked up their first points of the season defeating Waverley and La Grande Motte enjoyed a ten stroke win over Canberra International B.
In the east conference, Horsholm picked up a forfeit win and with three wins out of three are looking very comfortable, as are Southern Cross.
The game between the Glanville Guns and Val St Jean always looked like a tremendous battle and so it was with only two strokes separating the teams.
Division II
In Division II, Sant Jaume 1994 also maintained its grip with a win over Riom and the Magpies and Wasps won their respective games.Some results are still outstanding in this group.
Division III
Wins to Sant Jaume 2008, Mannevillette, Académie d'Hinges and Valley View were welcome by their players and the standings in both conferences are tight, with one more game before the play offs.
