MARGARITA ROBLEDO WINS IN CATALONIA

Margarita Robledo of Catalonia maintained her dominance of the III International Ladies Open during final round play at Teyco l'Ampolla. Margarita shot a closing round of 56 to finish with a 54 hole aggregate of four under par 158. That was good enough for a seven shot victory over fellow Catalan Pilar Montero who closed with a 58 for 165. Pilar finished a single shot ahead of another Catalan - Abby Nachson, who also shot 58 in round three. Silvia Garnagou was fourth on 170 while Holland's Herma Kleinlugtenbeld was top non Catalan on 171.

Two rounds are now complete in the III International Ladies Open at Teyco l'Ampolla. Margarita Robledo (Catalonia) carded a second round of 55 for a six under par aggregate of 102 but her lead is now five shots after Pilar Montero added a 56. Isabel Rodriguez is now tied second with Pilar Montero on 107 after a one over par second round. Abby Nachson, the wife of newly elected FCPP President Victor Moscatel, is level par overnight. Silvia Garangou lies fifth on 110 while Herma Kleinlugtenbeld of Holland is the best placed non Catalan in sixth place on 111.

Catalan Margarita Robledo fired a fabulous opening round 47 to lead by four from fellow Catalan Pilar Montero. Herma Kleinlugtenbeld of Holland is the best placed non Catalan in joint sixth place on 55, just ahead of fellow Dutch players Joletta Ottens and Esther de Schiffart, both on 56.
