EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2005
Ireland continued to its domination of the international Pitch and Putt world. This was confirmed during the European Pitch and Putt 2005 Team Championship. On the sunny Overbetuwe course at the Rijkerswoerd lakes, the Irishmen retained their European title. Captain Derry McCarthy’s team beat the opponents from Catalonia and the Netherlands in the championship group. The team of “Orange” national coach Rinus Huberts performed exceedingly well and claimed the second place after beating Catalonia
