AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2011 - results

Stewart Genge won the weather shortened Australian Open at Waverley. A shot behind after 36 holes, Genge added a closing 52 for a four under par aggregate of 158. That was good enough for a single shot victory over Marc Fischer, who finished second on the countback and holder James Rogerson, who fired a final round 53. That 53 gave James third place on the final eighteen from Tom Rickit, who faded somewhat after a sparkling first round 48.

The ladies open was equally close. Marie Hutchison returned 182 to win by a single shot from her daughter Sandra. Sandra's final round of 61 gave her second place by on the countback from Gloria Hourigan (Waverley), who was runner-up in 2010.

78 players (from Australia and Catalonia) competed.
