AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2010 - results

A superb opening round of 44 by James Rogerson set the home player on his way to retaining his Australian Open title at Canberra International. But unlike Last year, Rogerson did not lead from start to finish. Anthony Murnane (Corinda) fired 45, 48 and 49 to be one clear after 54 holes.

Rogerson closed with a 47 and eventually posted a superb 72 hole aggregate of 26 under par 190. Murnane shot a final round of 51 to finish second on 193. Tom Rickit and Stewart Genge tied third on 195.

The ladies open produced a new star. Julie Richardson (Waverley) returned scores of 58, 50, 55 and 56 for a three over total of 219 and a nine stroke victory over Gloria Hourigan (Waverley) and Bonnie Creech (Canberra).

73 players competed.
