FIPPA - a World of Pitch and Putt

FIPPA - the Federation of International Pitch and Putt Associations, is the governing body of the sport of Pitch and Putt, created in March 2006 when representatives of 17 Pitch and Putt areas around the world signed their agreement to a Constitution empowering the creation of a global body for the sport.

A Board of seven members was elected to work along with a Secretariat and the future of Pitch and Putt was given a sturdy bedrock upon which to build. One Board Member Eero Tarik resigned in February 2008.

Projects currently underway include a global handicap system so that one day all players scores may be combined into a global results pool.

Each year there are many international Opens which any player can aspire to take part in, and a World Cup is played every two years. There is plenty of excitement at all levels for players in the sport of Pitch and Putt.
